Kate Aldrich
Soloist, Mezzo-soprano
American mezzo-soprano, she has performed Carmen internationally in such prestigious theatres as the Metropolitan Opera New York, Arena di Verona, as well as in Zurich, Orange, Lyon, Berlin, Munich and Dresden. Her repertoire also includes Adalgisa (Norma), Charlotte (Werther), Léonor (La Favorite), Marguerite (La Damnation de Faust) and the title role in Tchaikovsky’s The Maid of Orleans. In 2016/17 she debuted as Fidès in Meyerbeer’s Le prophète at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse. She has also starred in revivals of such rarely performed works as Massenet’s Le Mage and Reyer’s Salammbô. Aldrich has also performed at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and in Hamburg, Bologna, Turin, Washington, Los Angeles, Marseille, Montreal, Lisbon and Pesaro. She appears in concert frequently and has collaborated with such prominent conductors as Daniele Gatti, James Conlon and Manfred Honeck.
