Charalambos Alexandropoulos

He was born in Athens. He studied monody at the National Conservatory of Athens (in the class of Chrysoula Argyropoulou) and continued his studies at the Conservatory of Terpsithea (at the class of Panos Dimas). At the same time he studied at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Athens. He studied singing under Vangelis Chatzisimos, Dimitri Kavrakos, Mata Katsouli, Yannis Christopoulos, Peter Swenson and Jane Henzell. He has been collaborating with the GNO as a soloist since 2011, when he performed the role of the Cat in the opera Puss in Boots by César Cui. During the same period he participated in the musical production of Lambros Liavas In Search of Attik [Anazitontas ton Attik] (Badminton Theatre, Thessaloniki Concert Hall). Ever since he has since participated in GNO productions interpreting such roles as Ruiz (Il trovatore, Odeon of Herodes Atticus 2011/12), Edmondo (Manon Lescaut, 2012/13), Danieli (I vespri siciliani, 2012/13, Athens Concert Hall), Malcolm (Macbeth, 2012/13), Goro (Madama Butterfly, Odeon of Herodes Atticus 2012/13). As a member of the band Inner Wish he has recorded albums of worldwide circulation (Silent Faces, Inner Strength, No Turning Back), which he has presented in concerts throughout Greece as well as abroad. He has also been a member of the vocal ensemble Eklipsis.
