Anastasia Barda

Anastasia Barda was born in Volos Greece. She began her vocal studies and took lessons of Harmony under George Pappas at the Athens Conservatory of Dimitris Mitropoulos. She later received the scholarship awarded by Mousigetis Foundation του Ιδρύματος Λαμπράκη and she attended seminars at the Athenaeum Conservatory as well as at the Music Academy of Vienna. She has also followed orchestral conducting studies in Saarbrucken Germany. She sang in concerts in Greece and abroad. Since 1992 Anastasia Barda has appeared in productions of the Megaron Athens Concert Hall. Since 1995 she teaches at the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata. She worked with the GNO from 1990 to 2001 in productions and/or revivals of six operas, interpreting the roles of Annoula [Zefira (Mastrekinis)], Vivika (O Vaftisikos [The Godson]), Titika [The Apaches of Athens (I Apachides ton Athinon)], Crobyle [Thaïs], Giannetta [L'elisir d'amore], Barbarina [Le nozze di Figaro] and Norma [Norma]. // Last update of the biography: December 2015 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
