Claude Bardouil
Choreographer
French dancer and movement director, he began his career as a dancer, then trained as an actor at the Théâtre Sorano, Toulouse. His dance appearances include performances in Rita Cioffi’s Massacre du printemps, Shopping and Pas de deux. He co-founded the theatre company “Parlez-moi d’amour”, where he has worked as a director and performed in plays including Racine’s Andromaque, Sophocles’ Electra and several contemporary plays. As a member of Cie Samuel Mathieu he has featured in productions including Us-Band, Duo 1 and Duo 2. Bardouil has collaborated with Krzysztof Warlikowski and has been movement director / choreographer for all his opera productions since the 2010/11 season. He directed, performed in and choreographed Nancy Interview and Exhausted for Warlikowski and has also choreographed Warlikowski’s productions of Koniec, Les Franc̨ais (also Ruhrtriennale), Kabaret Warszawski (also Bavarian State Opera)
and African Tales by Shakespeare for Nowy Teatr, Warsaw, as well as Phaedra(s) and A Streetcar Named Desire (Théâtre de l’Odéon with Isabelle Huppert). // Last update of the biography: December 2022 - The list of the productions below is complete.
