Lighting Designer
She is an associate of the National Theatre and for Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures. She has won five Olivier Awards and two Tony Awards and was the first recipient of the Opera Award for Lighting at the International Opera Awards (2013). Opera credits include The Return of Ulysses, Le nozze di Figaro, Faust, Rigoletto, The Cunning Little Vixen (ROH), Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Billy Budd, Rusalka, Così fan tutte, La bohème, Giulio Cesare, Carmen (Glyndebourne), Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Salzburg Festival), Wagner’s Ring (Strasbourg), L’incoronazione di Poppea (Paris), Medea, Così fan tutte, Norma, Roberto Devereux, Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Anna Bolena (MET) and The Handmaid’s Tale and Satyagraha
(ENO). Recent theatre projects include The Visit, Ocean at the End of the Lane, Angels in America, The Normal Heart (NT) and Wolf Hall (RSC, West End, Broadway).
