Sofia Delidaki

Soloist,Soprano
Born in Athens, She studied piano with Maria Efstratiadi at the Conservatory of the Athens Music Society, graduating with a diploma. In 1998, she began her singing training at the Central Conservatory [Kentriko Odeio] with Giorgos Samartzis and continued at the Hellenic Conservatory with Yolanda di Tasso, receiving her diploma with a unanimous "Excellent" grade. In 2002, she completed her training at the Department of Music Education. She attended seminars led by Antonis Kontogeorgiou, Elias Voudouris, Zachos Terzakis and Aris Christofellis (Ionian University, 2006), as well as by Welsh tenor Ryland Davies at the Royal Academy of Music in London and Carol Richardson-Smith at the Hanover Academy of Music and Drama. In 2006, she received the 1st Prize and 22n Anniversary Medal of the Youth Orchestra Choir at a Greek national competition. She interpreted the role of the Trainbearer of Badr-Al-Boudour in Nino Rota's Aladdin and the Magic Lamp [Aladino e la lambada magica], which was staged at the Olympia Theater by the Athens Chamber Opera in collaboration with the GNO (2007/08).
