Italian tenor, he was born in Porto Torres, Sardinia, and studied in Sassari and Cagliari. He made his professional operatic debut in Teatro Regio di Parma as Rodolfo (Luisa Miller, 2007). Since then he has performed such roles as the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Rodolfo (La bohème), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Italian singer (Der Rosenkavalier), Roberto (Maria Stuarda), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore) in leading theatres worldwide such as La Scala (Milan), San Francisco Opera, Seattle Opera, Arena di Verona, Berlin State Opera, Frankfurt State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, New York Metropolitan Opera, etc. He has sung the Duke of Mantua to great acclaim in Hong Kong and Beijing (on tour with Teatro Regio di Parma), Parma, Dresden, Hamburg, Opéra Bastille and recently at the Vienna State Opera and ROH (Covent Garden, London).
