He made his operatic debut with the role of Tom in Un ballo in maschera with the legendary tenor Carlo Bergonzi at Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro. Distinguished basso’s career has spread around the globe (Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, USA). His repertoire concludes more than 30 roles and extends
from Seneca (L’incoronazione di Poppea) to the role of Priest Fotis (The Greek Passion) of Bohuslav Martinu. Recently he triumphed in the role of Banco (Macbeth) at Teato alla Scala in Milan, also Fiesco (Simon Boccanegra, Teatro Massimo Palermo) and Marcel (Les Huguenots) of Meyerbeer at the Carnegie Hall with the Opera Orchestra of New York. He studied music to the University of rio de Janeiro and Juilliard School of Music in New York. He has collaborated with many directors such as Franco zeffirelli, Giancarlo del Monaco etc. He has sung such roles as Timur (Turandot, Arena di Verona), Ramfis (Aida, Teatro Massimo of Palermo), Zaccaria (Nabucco, Teatro Carlo Felice Genova), Oroveso (Norma, Kansas City Lyric), Gala Verdi (Teatro di Verdura, Palermo), Ferrando (Il trovatore, Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro) and Grand Inquisitore (Don Carlo, Opera of Bilbao).
