Leonora Gaitanou

Soloist, Mezzo-soprano
Greek mezzo-soprano, she was born in Athens within a musical family. She studied piano (diploma), cello, advanced music theory (diploma of harmony) and singing under Christina Yannakopoulou (diploma with honors and first prize for outstanding performance) at the Musical Horizons Conservatory. She has attended lessons with Bernanda Fink, Wolfgang Brendel at the Salzburg Mozarteum and Schloss Laudon in Vienna, as well as with Marlis Petersen, Susan Bullock, Daphne Evangelatos, Aris Christofellis etc. She graduated from the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory and from the Faculty of Theatre Studies (School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). As an actress she has cooperated with leading directors and has performed in such as venues as Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, Ancient Theatre of Patras, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, theatres of Attica, Athens Concert Hall, Onassis Cultural Center etc. She participates at the program of the Greek National Opera «Young opera artists».
