Antonia Κalogirou
Soloist, Soprano
Greek soprano, she studied piano with Max Hallecker and singing with Yolanda di Tasso (Hellenic Conservatory, Athens). In 1990 she received the Maria Callas scholarship and continued her studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Liège (Belgium) and in Italy.She is a graduate of the Santa Cecilia Opera Studio, Rome. In 1997 she received the first prize at the Maria Callas Competition (category: Oratorio-Lied). She has sung, among others, Elisetta (Il matrimonio segreto), Micaëla (Carmen), Mimì (La bohème), Nedda (Pagliacci), Anna and Abigaille (Nabucco), Amelia (Un ballo in maschera),Pamina, First and Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), as well as Lina (Stiffelio). She often performs, among others, with the Athens and Thessaloniki State Orchestras and the Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra. Moreover, she has taught at the Opera Studio of the Greek National Opera.
