She was born in Patras, where she began her studies in piano, accordeon and music theory. She took her diploma in singing with distinction and prize from the National Conservatory (Glyfada) under Varvara Gavakou, while she continued her studies with Josef Metternich in Munich. She made her debut at the Greek National Opera in a young age as Bastienne (Bastien und Bastienne, GNO Children's Stage, 1997) and later as Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte, 1998/99). Since then she has been repeatedly working with the Greek National Opera, performing the most representative soprano coloratura roles. She has sung in the most prestigious theatres such as La Scala (Milan), Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Royal Danish Opera, Tokyo Opera, Komische Oper Berlin, Teatro San Carlo (Naples), Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Florence), Teatro Nacional de São Carlos (Lisbon), Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf). Moreover, she gives recitals worldwide. She has performed such roles as Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Olympia (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Gilda (Rigoletto), Violetta (La traviata), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Amina (La sonnambula, Konstanze and Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia, The countess Adèle (Le comte Ory) etc. She was awarded from the Union of Greek Critics for Drama and Music for her performance as Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos, GNO, 2001), while she received the special award of Inga Ligabue in Italy.
