Evi Karpouzi
Dancer
She was born in Athens. She studied at the Anna Petrova Higher Education Professional Ballet School, obtaining a dance professor degree and at the Ballet School of Yiannis Metsis. She holds all Diplomas of the system of the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as a degree from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Athens. She has attended seminars in summer dance courses (Birmingham, London). She has been a member of the National Team of Rhythmic Gymnastics. She first danced for the GNO in 1996/97, at a presentation of the ballet Cinderella (music by Prokofiev), at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and then in 1997/98 at a ballet night by the Ballet Studio, participating in the ballets Variations on a folk song [Paralages se ena dimotiko tragoudi] (choreography by Yannis Metsis) and Penelope or The Waiting [Pinelopi i i anamoni] (choreography by Irina Akrioti). Since 1999 she has been a member of the Ballet of the Greek National Opera. Ever since she has participated in the ballets: La bayadère, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Swan lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Raymonda, Did you say Baroque?, Pas de deux, Zorba, The New World Symphony, Canto General, The Snow Queen (music by Glazunov), Paquita, Alles Walzer, etc. She has also participated in the ballets of operas such as Tannhäuser, La Cenerentola, Die Fledermaus, Marathon-Salamis by Pavlos Carrer etc. // Last update of the biography: March 2019 - The list of the productions below will be added soon.
