Athena Kastrinaki
Soloist, Mezzo-soprano
She was born in Chania, Crete. She studied classical singing in Athens. She graduated from the Opera Studio of the Greek National Opera (2011/13). Since 2012 she has been cooperating with the Greek National Opera. Moreover, she has worked with Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole (France), Armonia Atenea, Symphony Orchestra of Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation and Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop. Furthermore, she has studied at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy (Salzburg) and at the International Summer School Bad Reichenhall (Munich), and has attended seminars with Daphne Evangelatos, Dimitri Kavrakos, Elena Obraztsova, Ruggero Raimondi, Aris Christofellis and Jeannette Pilou. Among others, she has sung such roles as Lucinda (L’amante di tutte), Bradamante (Alcina), Singer (Manon Lescaut), Page (Nikos Kypourgos’ Beware!
