Konstantinos Klironomos

Soloist, Tenor
He studied modern singing at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory. He also studied monody at the Art and Technology Conservatory and the Athenaeum Conservatory (under Christina Giannakopoulou). He continued his post-graduate studies at Salzburg under Barbara Bonney, while he attended seminars by Zanet Pilou, Aris Christofellis, Cheryl Studer, Kurt Equiluz and Daphne Evangelatou. He also studied Social Theology at the Athens University. He participated in performances at the Athena Theater and the Chalandri Arts Center, and appeared as Pilate and Christ in the rock opera “Jesus Christ Superstar”. He has won scholarships from the Maria Callas and the Alexander Onassis foundations. He has participated as soloist in operas and has sung in concerts in Greece and Austria. Since 2003 he collaborates with composer Dimitris Maramis, Marios Frangoulis and the record label Mikri Arktos in concerts and recordings. His repertoire includes roles such as Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), as well as roles in the oratorios Messiah and Theodora by Handel. In the period 2007-12 he worked with the GNO, singing the leading role of Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), as well as roles in the Konstantinidis’ operetta The love bacillus (2009/10). He appeared as Ramiro (La Cenerentola) in a production by GNO’s Children’s Stage (2007/08), while he also participated in productions of the GNO Experimental Stage. In addition, he co-starred as Aladdin (Aladino e la lampada magica, 2007/08) and Pygmalion (Die schöne Galathée, 2008/09) in joint productions by the Athens Chamber Opera and the GNO. // Last update of the biography: December 2018.
