Dimitra Kokkinopoulou

Musician
A graduate of the Department of Music Studies (Ionian University, major: piano), she holds a Master of Musical Arts (Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA) and a PhD (University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA). In recent years she has been active in chamber music with string and wind instruments and percussion as well as in collaborations with singers in works that cover the entire stylistic spectrum of classical music. She has given concerts in Greece, Germany, Portugal and America. Since 2018, she has been working as an accompanist and with mezzo-soprano Irini Tsirakidis at the Athenaeum Conservatory, while she is a member of Thesis Trio (Irini Tsirakidis, Yorgos Kaloudis – cello / classical Cretan lyre), with which they present works by Greek composers. In addition, she collaborates with the theatre group Thea-tree, presenting musical performances for children and educational programmes at the Theocharakis Foundation and schools. In addition, she is the accompanist-pianist of the Intercultural Chorus of the Greek National Opera. She is a founding member of PhonoQuest, a company dedicated to create a communication channel between the science and the art of voice through educational activities. // Last update of the biography: October 2022.
