Scarlett Mackmin

Choreographer
British choreographer, she trained at the Martha Graham School in New York City and at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in London. She worked as a performer and teacher before becoming a freelance choreographer. Her work for the theatre includes Molière’s Le Malade imaginaire (Almeida Theatre), Steven Knight’s The President of an Empty Room (National Theatre), The Sleeping Beauty (Barbican), The Dark, Caligula, After Miss Julie, Privates on Parade (Donmar Warehouse), Cloud Nine,The Modernist, The Tempest, Bird Calls, Batina and the Moon, Iphigenia (Sheffield), Peribanez, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Regent’s Park), Up on the Roof (Minerva Τheatre, Chichester), In Flame (Bush Theatre / New Ambassadors) and Airswimming. She has also worked for films and television. She made her Royal Opera debut in 2008 as movement director on Don Carlo.// Last update: December 2019
