Aggelos Mendis

Set Designer, Costume Designer, Director
He was born in Athens. He studied interior design at Vakalo School. He collaborated with the dance groups Oktana, Analia, 14th Day, Sinequanon, Horotheama Kinitiras, Aerites, Omada Edafous, etc. He has worked for the theatrical company Askisi, Porta Theater and Empros Theater, Danis Katranidis’s POLI-Theater, the Athens Festival, National Theater, the Theater of Kefallinias Street, etc. He has collaborated with significant Greek directors, such as Lefteris Voyatzis, Roula Pateraki and Anna Kokkinou. He created the Time Capsule, based on D. Papaioannou’s idea, for the Athens Olympic Games inauguration in 2004. He directed the performance The Good Person of Szechwan (Sfendoni Theater, 2006) and was costume designer and artistic director for the performance 2 by D. Papaioannou (2006).
