Maria Palaska
Soloist, Soprano
She studied singing at the Modern Conservatory of Thessaloniki. She continued her studies in opera and Lieder at the Stuttgart Music Academy with Dunja Vejzović with a grant from the State Scholarships Foundation (Greece). She also attended masterclasses with Christa Ludwig, Brigitte Fassbaender and Cheryl Studer. She cooperated with the Stuttgart State Opera, Konstanz Theatre, Opera Studio of the Opéra national du Rhin, Weissenhorn Theatre, Laubach Opera House and Athens Festival. She has performed such roles as Konstanze and Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro). She has also sung oratorios and Lieder at the Hugo Wolf Academy (Stuttgart), Richard Strauss Institute (Munich), Liederhalle Stuttgart, GNO Alternative Stage, Athens Concert Hall and National Auditorium of Music (Madrid). She made her debut at the GNO in 2015, while during 2017/18 season she sang Musetta (La bohème) and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte, a production of the Komische Oper Berlin). // Last update: October 2019 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
