
Katia Paschou
Soloist, Soprano
She studied theatre at the University of Athens, classical singing at the Mannes College of Music, and acting at Sande Shurin Acting Studio in New York (with a scholarship from the ‘Alexander S. Onassis’ Foundation). In 2008, she gave an official solo recital at the Weill Recital Hall of the Carnegie Hall in New York, as a winner of the Artists International Presentations competition. She has performed such roles as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro, Turin), Adina (L’ elisir d’amore, Turin), Areti (The Cretan Girl, Athens State Orchestra) as well as Musetta (La bohème), Valencienne (Die lustige Witwe), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) and Adele (Die Fledermaus). She has participated in the festivals of Nafplio, Santorini, the Cyclades Dimitria and has given concerts in Greece and abroad. Since 2010, she has been in charge of the educational opera programs of the Β & Μ Theocharakis Foundation.
