Sofia Paschou
Movement Director
She studied at the Arhi Drama School, Athens, and at the LISPA, where she completed with scholarship the pedagogical training program and started working. She is a founding member of the “Patari Project” for which she directed the performances: 10cm up, Odyssey, Bal on air, Shoe catcher on the piano, Νose, Chionani. She has also directed the works Seesaw (National Theatre, Athens) and Τhe slave (Porta Theatre,
co-direction with Thomas Moschopoulos). As an actress she has worked with Lilo Baur, Helen Chadwick (Royal Opera House, London), Dessislava Stefanova, with the companies Out of Chaos, Βabakas, etc. Moreover, she has signed the movement of the works Iphigenia in Tauris (National Theatre of Northern Greece), The trial of K. and Candide, ou l’Optimisme (Porta Theatre), Arrival, Fahrenheit 451 and Τhe Frogs
(Athens and Epidaurus Festival), etc. She is an external collaborator of the Porta Theatre Lab, of the London Bubble and BE-Festival. Moreover, she taught at the Birmingham School of Acting and at the National Theatre, London.
