Elli Paspala
Singer
She was born in New York to parents from Thessaloniki. She graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied classical singing with
soprano Judith Raskin. She also took acting classes with William Hickey. She has given many concerts throughout North America with classical and
Greek repertoire, most recently with Gavin Bryars’ opera Medea, directed by Robert Wilson. Her love for Greece and Greek song travelled her here
where, for her great luck, she found herself in the musical embrace of Manos Hadjidakis. After countless concerts and participations in emblematic
recordings, she continued her career collaborating with almost all leading Greek composers of her generation, elder and younger. Her great love for the
concerts has brought her all over Europe, Asia Minor, Middle East, Africa and Far East, always in collaboration with the most prestigious Greek
musicians and singers. // Last update of the biography: July 2022.
