Stella Pavlaki

She was born in Messolonghi, Greece. She studied voice at the Greek National Conservatoire (under Nafsika Voutyra), where he received his diploma with First Prize and Excellence (1965). She completed her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna on a Maria Callas scholarship. She also took lessons in Italy (Rome and Milan). She has worked with the Athens State Orchestra and Greek Radio and has taken part in several festivals in Greece. She has participated in the production of the record Songs from Nick Chatziapostolou’s operettas (Tragoudia apo tis operetes tou Nikou Chatziapostolou) (1991). She began her collaboration with the GNO as a chorister in 1976, but began to sing leading roles right away. During the period from 1976 to 1991, she participated in the staging of 12 lyrical works in 17 productions and/or revivals, singing roles such as Violetta Valéry (La traviata), Gilda (Rigoletto), Frasquita (Carmen, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, 1977), Amina (La sonnambula), Nannetta (Falstaff), Musetta (La bohème), Olympia (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Vivika [The godson / O vaftistikos], The Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), etc.
