German soprano, she studied at the Music Academies of Lübeck and Detmold. She started her career at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany. She has been a member of the State Theatres of Schwerin (1989/91), Gärtnerplatz (Munich, 1994/96), Freiburg (1997/2003) as well as Bremen Theater (2005/07). She has sung Brünnhilde (Der Ring des Nibelungen, Bayreuth Festival, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Hannover State Opera, Leipzig Opera, Detmold, Freiburg and Dijon), Gertrud (Hänsel und Gretel, Bavarian State Opera, Munich), Leonore (Fidelio, Hagen Theatre), Madame Lidoine (Les Dialogues des Carmélites, Deutsche Oper am Rhein), Busoni’s Turandot (Opéra de Dijon), Sieglinde (Die Walküre, Oper Leipzig), Isolde (Tristan und Isolde, Chemnitz Theatre, Hamburg State Opera, Angers-Nantes Opéra), Die Färberin (Die Frau ohne Schatten, Frankfurt Opera, Saarbrucken State Theatre), Ortrud (Lohengrin, Frankfurt Opera).
