Soloist, Mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano, born in Tirana, she studied at the Conservatory of her home town. She debuted in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Strasbourg and
moved to Italy, where she graduated in singing from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory (Milan). Ιn the same year she won the first prize at the
Leyla Gencer Voice Competition in Istanbul. She has sung under leading conductors in numerous theatres and festivals in Italy and worldwide
such as Rossini Opera Festival (Pesaro), Teatro Regio (Turin), Teatro Donizetti (Bergamo), Teatro Comunale (Bologna), Teatro San Carlo (Naples),
Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), Opéra Bastille, Théâtre du Châtelet, Opéra Garnier, La Monnaie (Brussels), La Scala (Milan), Dresden
and Vienna State Operas. Her large repertoire includes leading roles in such famous operas as Rigoletto, Così fan tutte, Madama Butterfly, Les
Contes d’Hoffmann, Aida, La forza del destino, La Damnation de Faust, Carmen. She has sung the role of Mistress Quickly at the Gran Teatre del
