Rachele Stanisci

She was born in Brindisi. She studied singing under Gina Salvagno and perfected her technique as a fellow of the Academy of Specialization for Lyric Singers of Teatro alla Scala of Milan (l'Accademia di perfezionamento per cantanti lirici di Teatro alla Scala di Milano). In 1989 she won the “Maria Caniglia” contest and in 1991 the AS.LI.CO. competition, which paved the way for her participation in the production of “La Bohème” (Mimi and Musetta) in a tour in Lombardi. In the following theatrical seasons she participated, among others, in the operas Manfred by Schubert, The Turk in Italy [Il Turco in Italia] (Fiorilla), The Triumph of Honor [Il trionfo dell’onore] by Scarlatti (Doralice), Falstaff (Nannetta), Fedora (Countess Olga Sukarev), The Elixir of Love [L' Elisir d'amore] (Adina), The Italian Straw Hat [ll cappello di paglia di Firenze] (Elena), The Secret Marriage [Il matrimonio Segreto] (Elisetta), King Theodore in Venice [Il re Teodoro in Venezia] by Paisiello (Lisetta). She collaborated with major lyrical theaters in Europe, such as the Royal Opera of La Monnaie (Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie) in Brussels, the Capitol Theater of Toulouse (Téâtre du Capitole de Toulouse), the Dresden Music Festival, the Wiesbaden City Festival, the Montpellier Opera Houses, the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, the Frankfurt Opera, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Champes Elysées Theater (Théâtre des Champs Elysées) in Paris, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and the Royal Theater (Teatro Reggio) in Turin. In the season 2012-2013 she collaborated with GNO in the production of Manon Lescaut, interpreting the title role.
