Konstantinos Stavridis
Soloist, Tenor
He was born in Athens, where he studied harmony and piano. The roles he sang include: Narete (La fida ninfa) and Tamino (Die zauberflöte) at the Athens Conservatory; Count of Lerma (Don Carlo) at the Athens Concert Hall; and, Iro (Il ritorno d’ Ulisse in patria) at the Ancient Corinth Festival. In collaboration with the European Opera Center he appeared in the opera L'enfant et les sortilèges (Liverpool, Preston). He collaborated with the GNO in 2005-2007, interpreting the roles: Gastone (La traviata), Beppe (Pagliacci) and Spoletta (Tosca). He also worked with the GNO Experimental Stage, singing the role of Harlekin (Der Kaiser von Atlantis), as well as with the GNO Children’s Stage in the adaptation of the roles Nemorino (L' elisir d'amore) and Orphée, Aristée and Pluton (Orphée aux Enfers). Finally, he collaborated with the Athens Chamber Opera, singing the role of Monsieur Vogelsang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor (2006/07). // Last update of the biography: November 2020 - The list of the productions below is continually updated.
