Set and Costume Designer
Born in Poland, since Krzysztof Warlikowski’s theatre and opera debut, she has been his exclusive collaborator for sets and costumes and therefore shares all of his successes. The originality and quality of her spaces, the beauty of the visual universes she offers, make her one of the most appreciated creators of her generation and inspire many young artists in the performing arts. For the scenography of the opera From the House of the Dead by Janáček at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London, she received the “Designer of the year” award in 2019. Małgorzata also has designed exhibition spaces in major European museums such as the Centre Pompidou Metz and the Polin Museum, about the history of Polish Jews.
