Antonio Theba

Soloist, Tenor
He was born in Greece. He studied violin and singing. He appeared in operas and operettas, but he also worked as a professor in the schooling system. During the 1969-1970 season, he was hired at the Raimund Theater in Vienna, where he performed the title role in the operetta Paganini, alongside Elfie Mayerhofer, Ernst Schütz, Gretl Theimer and Nera Nicol. He became widely known through his participation in the film version of the aforementioned operetta next to Teresa Stratas, in a ZDF-ORF co-production. His nephew, baritone Dimitrios Tsinopoulos, was one of his students.
