Stamos (Stamatis) Vogiatzis-Martino

He was born in Athens. He studied at the Athens Conservatoire and continued his studies at the Vienna Music Academy under Elisabeth Rado in singing and Josef Witt in opera. He debuted at the Theater Aachen. He also sang in other cities in Germany, as well as in Holland, America and Israel, while he has appeared on television and radio in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, etc. He has sung roles in more than 40 operas and several operettas. He worked with the GNO from 1979 to 1989, participating in eight productions and/or revivals of five operas, in the leading roles: Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana, 1979/80, 1984/85), Alfredo (La traviata, 1982/83), Alfred (Die Fledermaus), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte, 1983/84) and Franz Schubert (Das Dreimädelhaus, 1982/83). // Last update of the biography: March 2019 - The list of the productions below is continually updated.
