He was a member of the Opernstudio Zurich as of 1993, where he sang in the productions of Fedora, Rigoletto, Macbeth and Don Carlo, under the baton of conductors Nello Santi, Alun Franci, Manfred Honeck and Adam Fischer. He made his debut in La Scala, Milan, in 2003, singing the role of the Forester in the opera The cunning little vixen [Príhody lišky Bystroušky]. In 2006 he sang the role of Old Doctor in Barber’s Vanessa, at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. He went on to sing the roles of Νabucco [Nabucco] in Holland Park Opera (England) and Falstaff [Falstaff] in the State Theatre of Schwerin (Germany). He has also appeared in major opera houses in Europe and Australia, such as, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Staatsoper Stuttgart, The Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Oper Leipzig, the Opera of Nantes, the Stadttheater Bern, Opera Australia, Opera Queensland (Australia), the West Australia Opera and more. His repertory includes leading roles in the operas: Falstaff, Macbeth, Rigoletto, as well as in the roles Count di Luna [The Troubadour /Il trovatore], Jochanaan [Salome], Giorgio Germont [La Traviata], Father [Hansel and Gretel], Curwenal {Tristan und Isolde], Alfio [Rustic Chivalry /Cavalleria Rusticana], Tonio [Pagliacci], Rodrigue [Don Carlo], Zurga [The pearl fishers /Les pêcheurs de perles], Amonasro [Aida] and Nabucco [Nabucco]. He sings a broad repertory of oratorios and symphony works. He has sang under leading conductors, such as, Andrew Davis, Mikhail Jurowski, Franz Welser-Möst, Kyrill Petrenko and more. He has also worked with renowned directors, such as, Andreas Homoki, Grisha Asagaroff, Sir David Pountney et al. At GNO he appeared once in the title role of Nabucco (Olympia Theater, 2006/07)
