Petros Zoulias

Director
Born in Piraeus. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School, the Stavrakos Theatre and Cinema Direction School and the Drama School Roula Pateraki. In 1990 he was awarded First Prize at the Drama Film Festival for his film Magic Lamp. In 1995, his film New Year’s Eve won five awards at the same festival. In 1998 he created the theater multi-space “Art Space” in the center of Athens - a venue where many important theatrical, musical and dance performances were held. In 2004-05 the "Space" hosted the New Stage of the National Theatre. Since 2004 he teaches acting at the Athens Drama School G. Theodosiades. In 2008 he won Best Director for his play Eftyhia Papagiannopoulou. He has directed, among others, The Madwoman of Chaillot (2013), Harold and Maude (2011),You love me, you love me not (2012), My Aunt & Me (2011). For the Greek National Opera he directed the Cretan Girl by Spiros Samaras (2011) and Halima by Theophrastos Sakellaridis (2012-2013). // Last update of the biography: February 2021 - The list of the productions below is continually updated.
