Stavros Zouliatis
Soloist, Tenor
He was born in Athens. He is a monody graduate and has a degree in Music Theory (Fugue), Modern Percussion, Orchestration and Wind Instruments Conducting. He attended the course “Art Education / Using modern technical means” offered by the Ministry of Labor and the General Secretariat for Youth (1994). He has taken acting and melodrama classes under the instruction of director Vassilis Nikolaidis (2003). He also studied Political Science at the Athens-based Panteion University. Since 1993 he participated in productions, festivals and recordings, in collaboration with the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), the Athens Concert Hall, the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, and the choirs Fons Musicalis and Friends of Modern Music, in Greece and abroad. As a singer, guitarist and percussion soloist, he takes part in productions of classical music works, Greek popular music (entechno, elafrolaiko) and modern music, as well English-language rock. He has excelled in the works: La Cenerentola, Die Zauberflöte, Der Freischütz, The child and the dream [To paidi kai to oneiro], Bastien und Bastienne, Messiah and Salve Regina. He has participated as an actor-singer in stage performances, musical videos, television and radio commercials and a motion picture. As a member of the light music orchestra of the Greek Air Force, he was honored for his musical services (1997) and was awarded with honors for his participation in the 3rd International Competition of Opera Singers (Association of Drama and Operetta Actors, Athens 2006). He is a member of the Kallithea Municipality Philharmonic Orchestra (Athens) and the City of Athens Music Ensembles. In the 2007/08 season he sang the roles Aladdin’s first friend, First gamin and King’s Attaché (roles not found) in the opera Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, staged as a GNO and Athens Chamber Opera co-production. // Last update of the biography: March 2008 - The list of the productions below is continually updated.
