
Francesco Anile
Soloist, Tenor
Ιtalian tenor, he studied at the Francesco Cilea Conservatory in Reggio Calabria and completed his studies with Aldo Protti (Cremona) and Ottavio Taddei (Firenze). In 2001 he took a high-specialization course at the Opera Verdi Festival, Parma, under Renata Scotto. He sings regularly in Italy and abroad and works with some of the most notable international conductors and renowned directors. In 2009 he sang Manrico (Il trovatore) and Canio (Pagliacci, dir. Franco Zefirelli). His repertory includes Mario Cavaradossi (Tosca), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Luigi (Il tabarro), Ismaele (Nabucco), Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Radamès (Aida), Calaf (Turandot), Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) and Pollione (Norma). He also interprets Verdi’s Requiem, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Bizet’s Messe à Sainte Cécile.
