
Fanie Antonelou
Soloist, Soprano
She won the Maria Callas Grand Prix in the oratorio-song (Lied) category (Athens, 2005) and the Mendelssohn Prize (Frankfurt, 2008 and 2009). She was a finalist in the International Competition Franz Schubert and Modern Music, held in Graz, Austria (2009). She has recorded the role of Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) with the ensemble MusicAeterna under the direction of Teodor Currentzis (Sony), Italian music of the 16th-17th century with the Ensemble La Fenice and Jean Tubéry, music of the Troubadours of Thessaloniki with the ensemble Ex Silentio (ed. Nefeli) and the role of Ernestina (L’occasione fa il ladro, Naxos). She has worked with the Stuttgart Opera, Athens Concert Hall, Perm Opera House and has made guest appearances at the Berlin Philharmonic, Liederhalle Stuttgart, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Herkullessaal Munich, as well as the Handel Hall Festival, Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad and Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Northern Germany. // Last update of the biography: April 2018 - The list of the productions below is complete.
