Greek baritone, he studied singing with Kostas Paskalis, FrangiscoVoutsinos and Despina Kalafati. He continued his studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich with Daphne Evangelatos (Maria Callas scholarship, 1999). He has sung in Athens, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Stockholm, Leipzig, Savonlinna, Berlin, London, Brussels, Tokyo, Antwerp, Ghent, Geneva, San Diego, Buenos Aires, Dresden, Trieste, Verona and Vienna. His repertoire includes roles such as Don Giovanni, Escamillo (Carmen), Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Germond (La traviata), Marcello (La bohème), Iago (Otello), Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Posa (Don Carlo), Renato (Un ballo in maschera), the four villains (Les Contes d’Hoffmann). He has worked with famous conductors such as Mehta, Masur, Thielemann, Ritchie, Giannetti, Renzetti, Montanaro, Gelmetti. He won the International Chamber Opera Competition at Rijnsburg Palace, Germany (2002), and was awarded with the Honorary Distinction for Best New Artist by the Greek Association of Theatre and Music Critics in 2007.
