
Artemis Bogri
Soloist, Mezzo-Soprano
She was born in Athens. She took piano lessons from an early age. She studied classical singing at the Athenaeum Conservatory under soprano Marina Krilovic, graduating in 2002 with honors, first prize and a gold medal. She is also a graduate of economics from the University of Piraeus. She has taken acting and drama courses by directors Vassilis Nikolaidis and Carmen Ruggeri, as well as song seminars by Aris Christofellis, with whom she continues to study repertoire. She has participated in concerts across Greece with the Athens Chamber Orchestra, Camerata and Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. She appeared at the Nafplion Festival 2008. She has been working with the GNO since 2001, participating in opera productions by the Children's Stage (Nikos Xanthoulis’ The Magic Violin, 2010/11), while in June 2008 she cooperated with the GNO Experimental Stage in Viktor Ullmann’s The Emperor of Atlantis [Der Kaiser von Atlantis]. In the 2013/14 season she sang Angelina in Rossini’s Cinderella [La Cenerentola]. She has been participating in GNO’s educational programs (2012, 2013, 2014) assuming roles in opera performances in schools. She has participated in concerts by the Greek Composers Union, the Hellenic Group of Contemporary Music and in productions by the Athens Concert Hall, such as the Music and Tasting evenings, Gluck’s The Triumph of Clelia [Il trionfo di Clelia] (2011/12), Peter Maxwell Davies’ Vesalii icons and Miss Donnithorn's Maggot (2013/14), Alexandos Mouzas’ multimedia work City Lives (2013/14), etc. // Last update of the biography: December 2015 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
