
Hector Bolano
Dancer
He was born in Albania. He studied classical ballet and choreography in the eight-year Jordan Misja Academy of Dance in Tirana. He subsequently studied at the Morianova - Trasta Higher Professional Dance School, graduating with a dance teacher diploma. He collaborated with the dance groups Haris Mandafounis, Rallou Manou, Sofia Spyratou, Greek Association of Dance of the Royal Academy of London, while he participated in tours in Greece and abroad (Egypt, Australia, Serbia, Turkey and France). He has been collaborating with the GNO since 1992, initially as a corps de ballet member and since 2003 as a principal dancer. Up to date, he has participated in some 40 productions and/or revivals of ten ballets and opera ballet segments. He has danced in about ten ballets, including: Don Quixote, Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Zorba the Greek, Paquita, Cinderella (Vinogradov/Prokofiev), The damned snake [To katarameno fidi], etc. He also participated in ballet segments in the lyrical works Midsummer Night's Dream by Periklis Koukos, The Bat [Die fledermaus], Marathon Salamis by Pavlos Carrer and the musical Kiss me, Kate.
