Alden’s Peter Grimes (ENO, The South Bank Award), a triptych of early Verdi operas (Hamburg State Opera, The International Opera Award 2014), S. Medcalf’s Carmen (Cagliari, The Italian Music Critics Award). Alden’s densely choreographed Un ballo in maschera (ΜΕΤ, New York) was live relayed worldwide to cinemas.
