English choreographer and director, her choreography features in many award winning and Olivier nominated opera productions, including David Alden’s Billy Budd (Bolshoi Theatre, The Golden Mask Best Opera Production 2018), C. Solti’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (c. V. Gergiev, Mariinski Theatre, The Zolotoy Soffit Award), D. Alden’s Peter Grimes (ENO, The South Bank Award), a triptych of early Verdi operas (Hamburg State Opera, The International Opera Award 2014), S. Medcalf’s Carmen (Cagliari, The Italian Music Critics Award). Alden’s densely choreographed Un ballo in maschera (ΜΕΤ, New York) was live relayed worldwide to cinemas. Recent commissions include Benjamin, dernière nuit (d. J. Fulljames), War Requiem (d. Y. Oida, Lyon), Tannhäuser, Lohengrin and Fulljames’ Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria (ROH), as well as Otello (Kennedy Center, Washington).
