Giorgio Caoduro

Soloist, Baritone
He was born in Monfalcone (Italy) in 1980, and studied singing with soprano Cecilia Fusco since 1998. He has won various prizes in international competitions, among them the Lignano Sabbiadoro Competition, and is the recipient of the 2012 Green Room Award for best Opera Male Principal. He has sang the main baritone roles of the romantic Italian repertoire: Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia and Le nozze di Figaro), Dandini (La Cenerentola), Taddeo (L'Italiana in Algeri), Belcore (L'elisir d'amore), Ping (Turandot), Enrico (Lucia di Lammeroor). He has worked with many of the leading conductors and directors of our time, appearing in the world’s most prestigious opera houses: La Scala (Milan), Opéra National de Paris, Washington National Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Opera de Monte Carlo, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne State Theater, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro Regio di Torino, various european cities and Seoul. He recently appeared in the TV production "Rigoletto in Mantua" featuring Placido Domingo and Zubin Metha, as Marullo.
