Francesca Dotto

Soloist, Soprano
Francesca Dotto, born in Treviso, Italy was educated in classical humanities and obtained a degree in flute from the Giovanni Battista Martini Conservatory of Bologna (2006). She then attended the Conservatory Agostino Steffani in Castelfranco Veneto, where she specialized in vocal studies under Elisabetta Tandura and graduated with honors and an honorable mention in 2011. In the same year, Dotto won the first prize at the National Prize of the Arts organized by the Ministry of Education (MIUR), as well as the first prize at the International Contest Vincenzo Bellini. In the 2010-11 season, she debuted as Musetta in La Bohème at the Teatro La Fenice, Venice and participated in the Finalist’s Concert of the Competition Voci Verdiane in Busseto. She was awarded the second prize at the International Competition Maria Callas Verona. She recently performed as Lucrezia Borgia [Lucrezia Borgia] at the Teatro Verdi Padova and as Violetta [La Traviata] in Sassari and at Teatro Petruzzelli, Bari. She collaborated with the GNO twice, in Don Giovanni (Odeon of Herodes Atticus) and in La traviata (Olympia Theatre). // Last update of the biography: December 2015 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
