Gianluca Falaschi

Costume Designer
Italian costume designer, who works in theatre, opera and cinema and collaborates with famous directors. He has designed costumes for productions such as L’ Alidoro by L. Leo (Teatro Valle, Teatro Reggio Emilia), Napoli milionaria! by Nino Rota (Itria Valley Festival), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendelssohn, Teatro Regio di Parma), Moby-Dick (Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria), for works by Brecht, T. Williams and classical authors in many Italian theatres. In opera, he designed costumes for Puccini's Il trittico (Teatro Comunale di Modena, directed by C. Pezzoli) for the first time. He worked for many years with the director D. Livermore on works such as La fille du régiment (Trieste), Falstaff (São Paulo, Brazil), Carmen and Tosca (Genoa). He has led seminars at the Bologna International Opera Academy and the University of Venice, whilst teaching costume history and stage costumes at the National Academy of Dramatic Art Silvio d'Amico in Rome.
