Eric Fennell

American tenor, he made his professional debut as Rodolfo
(La bohème) at the Glimmerglass Opera Festival.This led him to The New York City Opera where he sang thirteen roles in six seasons. He has sung worldwide numerous leading tenor roles such as the Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Alfredo (La traviata), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Roberto (Roberto Devereux), Don José (Carmen), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), in such opera venues as National Theatre Mannheim, Edmonton Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, National Theatre of Prague, Slovak National Theater, Theater Bremen, Dallas Opera, San Francisco Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Seattle Opera, Arena di Verona and Teatro Petruzzelli (Bari).
A distinguished concert performer, Fennell has performed in prestigious halls the tenor solos in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Missa Solemnis, Verdi’s Requiem and Händel’s Messiah. He has sung Roméo to great acclaim for Slovenian National Theater, Mecklenburg State Theatre, Toledo Opera and Opera North (USA).
