Soloist, Mezzo-Soprano
She was born in Volos. She originally studied economics at the University of Athens and later studied voice in Athens, graduating with first prize. She attended seminars with Kostas Paskalis, Ileana Cotrubas, Luigi Alva, Fragkisko Voutsinos, Jeanette Pilou and Aris Christofellis. She continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien under Margarita Lilowa (voice) and Curt Malm (stage acting). Since 1993 she appears in concerts in Greece and abroad, in collaboration with major conductors, such as Wolfgang Rögner, Michael Schønwandt, Angelo Gatto, Claudio Scimone and Constantine Karydis. She has collaborated with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Opera Orchestra, the Solisti Veneti ensemble, as well as with all major Greek orchestras. Since 2003 she is a resident member of the Opera of Kiel, having appeared as: Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Charlotte (Werther), Laura (La Gioconda), Preziosilla (La forza del destino), Carmen (Carmen), Amneris (Aida), Princess Eboli (Don Carlos), Isabella (L'Italiana in Algeri), Ortrud (Lohengrin), Giulietta (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), etc. Her repertoire also includes symphonic works, oratorios and song cycles. Since 1997 she has worked with the GNO in more than ten productions and/or revivals, singing the roles: Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Angelina (La Cenerentola), Adalgisa (Norma), Smeton (Anna Bolena), Nicklausse (Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Carmen and Mercédès (Carmen), Alcina (Orlando furioso), Marousso (The Murderess by Giorgos Koumendakis), etc. // Last update of the biography: December 2015 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
