American bass, he began his professional career as a member of the Chicago Lyric Opera Center for American Artists. During 2002/9 he was engaged with the Frankfurt Opera where he sang numerous roles such as Karl (Schubert, Fierrabras), King (Schreker’s, Der Schatzgräber), Marke (Tristan und Isolde), Daland (Der fliegende Holländer), Gurnemanz (Parsifal), Boito’s Mefistofele, Prince Ivan Khovansky (Khovanshchina), Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Banco (Macbeth), Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Heinrich (Lohengrin), Hagen (Götterdämmerung). He has also sung Fafner (Siegfried) and Hunding (Die Walküre) with the Dutch Nationale Reisopera, Vodnik (Rusalka, Finnish National Opera), at the Zürich Opera and the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Brussels. He has collaborated with the opera houses of Düsseldorf, Leipzig, Hannover, Bonn, Mannheim, Innsbruck, as well as the Glyndebourne Touring Opera. He has also appeared with symphony orchestras including the Chicago Symphony and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. // Last update of the biography: June 2013
