Piero Giuliacci

He was born in Rome on 6/11/1961. He took classes in vocals under the guidance of Liliana Paccinotti and Maria Noe Negrelli. In 1996, he won the contest of the Puccini Foundation in New York. He debuted in 1991 at the Teatro Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti, where he interpreted the role of Pinkerton in the opera Madama Butterfly. He is a regular collaborator of numerous opera houses world-wide, and he has sung in Barcelona, Palm Beach, Bari, Verona, Venice, Leipzig, Copenhagen, Rome, Palermo, Turin, Florence, Shanghai, Seoul and Tel Aviv. His repertoire includes operas such as: Il trovatore (Florence, cond. Mehta), Pagliacci (Teatro Massimo in Palermo, toured in Tokyo), Aida (Grand Theater of Liceu, Barcelona), Norma, Turandot (Verona Arena, Copenhagen, Rome, Seoul), Lohengrin (Parma), Tosca, Otello, Andrea Chénier. He has worked with leading conductors, such as Zubin Mehta, Bruno Bartoletti, Maurizio Arena, and directors such as Franco Zeffirelli (Pagliacci, in Tel Aviv). In 2007-08, he appeared in the GNO production of Turandot at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus [""Herodion""], in the role of Calaf.
