
Peter Hoare
Soloist, Tenor
British tenor, he was initially trained as a percussionist, before making his debut as a singer at Welsh National Opera. His extensive repertoire encompasses everything from the more mainstream repertoire to Janáček’s From the House of the Dead, Zimmerman’s Die Soldaten, Mark-Anthony Turnage’s Anna Nicole, Alexander Raskatov’s A Dog’s Heart, Schreker’s Die Gezeichneten, Martinů’s Julietta, Britten’s Peter Grimes and Billy Budd. He has worked with many eminent conductors including Sir Colin Davis, Sir Simon Rattle, James Levine, Bernard Haitink and Esa Pekka Salonen in such theatres as Royal Opera House (Covent Garden, London), English National Opera, Metropolitan Opera (New York), La Scala (Milan), New National Opera Tokyo.
