Randhall Jeicobsh

Soloist, Bass
He was born in British Columbia (Canada). He studied at the Julliard School in New York and the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia (U.S. ). As a member of the Studio Opera Canada, he participated in various international programs for young singers (Santa Fe, Tanglewood, Aldeburgh Festival, etc. ). He sings in major opera houses in Europe, the U.S. , Canada. He made his debut in Europe at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona in the role of Ghost (Hamlet by Ambroise Thomas) and at the Salzburg festival as Pharnaces (King Kandaules/König Kandaules by Zemlinski) (2002). He has appeared in prestigious opera houses in Europe and America, such as: the Opera Houses of Vancouver, Washington, Cologne, Hamburg, Kassel, Nuremberg, Kiel, Duesseldorf, Stuttgart, Liege and Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. He has sang at the Festivals in Savonlinna (Finland), Salzburg and Vancouver. His repertoire includes leading bass roles of both the Italian and the German repertoire, such as: Sir Giorgio (The Puritans/I puritani), Alidoro (Cinderella/La cenerentola), Escamillo (Carmen), Caspar (The Freeshooter/Der Freischütz), Fazolt, Fafner and Hunding (The Ring of Nibelung/Der Ring des Nibelungen), Nick Shadow (The rake's progress), Raymondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Osmin (The Abduction from the Seraglio/Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Sarastro (The Magic Flute/Die Zauberflöte), Colline (La Bohéme), Pimen (Boris Godunov), Zachary (Nabucco), Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni), Baron Scarpia (Tosca), Philippe II and Grand Inquisitor (Don Carlos). He has also sang leading roles in 20th century works such as Pelléas and Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande), The Greek Passion (Řecké pašije), Lulu. At the GNO, he appeared once, as the Forester (The Cunning Little Vixen/Příhody lišky Bystroušky" (Olympia, 2014-15).
