He was born in New York in 1968. He studied piano and music theory, as well as opera singing under Giorgos Zervanos and Marina Krilovici. In 1996 he took his melodrama degree under the instruction of Kostas Paskalis. He continued his studies in Greece with Fragiskos Voutsinos and then went on to Italy to study under Regina Resnik, William Matteuzzi and Albert Rinaldi. In the period 1994-2018 he sang at the Greek National Opera in about 35 productions and/or revivals. He sang leading and principal tenor roles in about twenty operas: Pedrillio (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Steerman (Der fliegende Holländer),Comte Ory (Le comte Ory), Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Alexander (Marathon-Salamis), Ismael (Nabucco), Forgael (The Shadowy Waters),Duke di Mantova (Rigoletto), Don Ramiro (La Cenerentola), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Alfredo Germont (La traviata),Pong (Turandot) and others. He appeared in the operas The Godson and Die Fledermaus. He has been regularly singing in opera house abroad since 1998, such as: Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Lausanne, Zurich, Geneva, Rome, Florence, Treviso, Catania, Tokyo, Yokohama, Moscow, St. Petersburg and others. In these towns he sings leading tenor roles, mostly min operas by Rossini, Mozart, Donizetti and Bellini. He was a resident soloist at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf (2002-04). He won an award in the competition “Opera of the European Union” and 1st Prize in the International Contest “Giuseppe di Stefano” in Trapani, Sicily (2001). He has recorded works by Yiannis Markopoulos (Uninersal, Lyra), Thanos Mikroutsikos (ΕΜΙ), Giorgos Kouroupos (2001, Ankh productions) and the opera Orestis [Oreste] by Handel (MDG). // Last update of the biography: May 2020 - The list of productions below is continually updated.
