
Nikos Kotenidis
Soloist, Baritone
He was born in Siatista, Macedonia. He began his music studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Siatista and at the National Conservatory of Kozani (music theory, piano, classical guitar, classical singing and monody under Anna Papadopoulou). He continued his studies in singing at the Greek National Conservatoire under Stamatis Beris. In the period 2009/14 he studied singing under Christina Υannakopoulou at the Athenaeum Conservatory (Athens) and got his diploma. He also took music theory lessons under Spyros Klapsis. He participated as a soloist in concerts at the Kozani Municipal Conservatory, as well as in an opera evening with works by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, and songs by Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis. He was a member of the GNO Opera Studio (2011/13). He is studying musical theater at the Bavarian Theater Academy under Dafne Evangelatos, since 2014. In 2014 he won the “Maria Callas” scholapship and took part in a new soloists gala event in Budapest. In 2015 he appeared as Doristo in The Tree of Diana (L’arbore di Diana by Soler) at the Prinzregententheater in Munich. Since 2007 he has appeared in numerous GNO productions in leading and principal roles, such as: Ali Moussaka (Halima by Sakellaridis) (Olympia Theatre, 2012/13), Gulielmo (Così fan tutte, Olympia Theatre, 2014/15), Don Giovanni (Don Giovanni, The Suitcase Opera, 2014) and others. He also appeared in the Athens Chamber Opera productions as King, King’s attaché and Merchant (Aladino e la lampada magica). Further, he appeared in GNO Childrens’ Stage productions as Eisenstein (The Bat / The dance of fairytales, adaptation, Acropol Theatre, 2009) and in Attention!
