
Diamanti (Amanda) Kritsotaki
Soloist, Mezzo-Soprano
She was born in Heraklion, Crete. Her parents are musicians,
so she engaged in music from a very young age, playing the piano and singing in the children’s chorus of her hometown. She obtained her singing diploma under Sonia Theodoridou and continued postgraduate studies at the Leopold Mozart Center for Music and Music Education (University of Augsburg, Germany). She studied under Christina
Yannakopoulou, Agnes Habereder-Kottler, Rudi Spring and attended masterclasses alongside teachers such as Frieder Bernius, Karl-Peter Kammerlander, Graham Johnson, Robert White, Anne Murray and Nicolas Vassiliou. She has starred in productions of the Theater Augsburg, including: Mike Svoboda’s Erwin, das Naturtalent, Meeting Dido and Divertimento4amadeus. With the GNO she has been working since 2014 in
such productions as Macbeth, Il barbiere di Siviglia (educational program), Carmen (“The Suitcase Opera”), Carmensitas (opera-ballet for children), Madama Butterfly, The godson and Z (Alternative Stage).
